See you in sunny Blackpool! Demonstrate against the fascist BNP on Saturday

The New Kimberley Hotel is situated at 585-589 New South Promenade, Blackpool FY4 1NQ roughly two miles South of Blackpool Tower. There is a map showing its location here.

We're meeting on the grass area at the front of the hotel at 12 noon. However, if you would like to join the trades union march to the hotel or you intend to arrive in a coach, you might prefer to park at Starr Gate, another half-mile further South, where the police have designated an area for a meeting and parking point here. If you intend to do this, be at Starr Gate at a little before noon as that's when the march sets off.

* We'd like a lot of noise (when the speakers aren't saying anything) so bring anything you've got that will let the BNP know we're out there. Trumpets, drums, whistles and loud voices are all welcome.

* There are a lot of people out there with digital cameras. If you find you've taken some great pictures on the day that we might be able to use on the blog, let us know on lancaster.uaf@zen.co.uk

* One word of warning. As those who were at the demo last year can tell you, Blackpool is cold in November, particularly on the seafront. Wear warm clothing.

* Safety first. Whether arriving or leaving the demo, do so in a group where possible. We don't expect any problems but it would be foolish to take chances.

Having said all that, it looks like it's going to be a great demo and it'll certainly show the BNP that they are not wanted in Blackpool.

Keep warm, keep safe and enjoy yourselves!

Good luck today, chaps and chapesses.

If you get the chance, ask their members why a motion about number plate recognition is first on the agenda, followed by other studpid motions, but the one setting up a scrutiny committee for their own treasury department is last.

Do Griffin and co hope, plan, or expect that they'll run out of time so the motion won't be debated properly, awkward questions can't be asked, and (they hope) the motion will either fall by default or be hastily passed leaving Griffin and co free to set it up as they like?

Good point regarding the timing of the treasury motion. Its the most important motion they'll talk about tomorrow and the only one they can do anything about. If its last on the agenda no doubt at all that its so they can rush it through with hardly any discussion. Griffin knows what he's doing, its not last for no reason.

Hope it's going well. Yeah, keep an eye on that treasury scrutiny motion. Devious bastards.

Is the site now populated mainly by BNP dissidents? Why do you have so many fascist posters twittering on about their irrelevant motions which is of no interest to the public?

@ anonymous

They clearly aren't BNP, dissidents or otherwise.

I think the point made concerning the timing of the motion is perfectly valid, and it will be interesting to see what happens to it.

Perhaps the commwents are accurate, perhaps not, we'll see.

I disagree with anon when they state that the public has no interest, this is a well accessed site by members of the 'public' and as with all things its down to them to make a decision what or who to believe, but at least on this site they are given that choice. Unlike the bnps own regional voices post today which attacks a labour member who it appears has critised the nazis.

It makes great reference to 'donnygate' which it states is linked with electoral fraud in Doncaster. My understanding of 'donnygate' is that it is linked to the fact that the 2 bnp councillors in Barking & Dagenham whose names are Doncaster mother and daughter were under legal threat by the council for non payment of rent and council tax. the daughter in fact surrendered the keys to her home the day before being evicted, and i understand the mother is still repaying her debt.

So here at least the public get the facts, what they do with them??

Never mind all that!

What happened to the Automatic Number Plate Recognition System motion?

Having been v slightly involved in introducing this in xxxxxxx police area I'd be interested to learn the nutzi position on the subject.

Because you're a BNP troll?

looks like the crystal ball worked, no mention at all of the finance motion on bnp website, must have opened the bar early.
