'Immature, tasteless and pathetic' BNP angers its supporters with teddy bear stunt

The British National Party has infuriated its supporters over on the Stormfront UK nazi forum by producing a toy teddy bear named 'Muhammad', in a crass attempt to cash in on the furore over the Gillian Gibbons case in Sudan.

The announcement that the bear was available from the BNP's cheap tat department, Excalibur, bizarrely appeared as a news report on the front page of the party's website but, following numerous angry comments over at Stormfront, was rapidly relegated to the Excalibur page alone.

Presumably, this was an attempt to anger Muslims in this country, as was the reprinting of the cartoons that caused such a fuss a couple of years ago - both stunts deliberately contrived as an attack on Islam. This is made clear in the sales blurb, which describes those who were offended in the original case in Sudan as 'absurd' and 'demented'.

The joke seems to have backfired with some force on this most idiotic and childish of political parties, with angry comments being fired at the BNP by those it would normally class as its supporters. We've reprinted a number of the comments below.

'Yet again more immature behavour from the british national party...'

'This is a puerile stunt on the BNP's part.'

'Yet another own goal...'

'I think it is not fitting for [Griffin] to condone within his party such a tasteless gesture and it shows an incredible immaturity on his part.'

'Shame on the bnp.'

'When I first read this I cringed and I’m sure I’m not the only one.'

'On a serious political level, this is really quite embarrassing.'

'...this will most likely be passed off as either stupidity or an attempt to stir up trouble. I think the end result of this will most likely not be a beneficial one for the BNP.'

'...how can the BNP possibly be taken seriously?'

and a rather more comprehensive critique, which we'll leave you to ponder (particularly if you're one of our many BNP readers who are always writing in to tell us how clever Nick Griffin is).

'What complete and utter crap. How totally childish and pathetic. It's so awful it is embarassing. How can anyone take the BNP seriously with this sort of juvenile nonsense... Trash...'

Which all sounds about right to us.

What the hell is the matter with the BNP? Do they REALLY believe this will earn them a SINGLE vote???

'Immature, tasteless and pathetic'

When I read that I thought this was another article about Mark Collett.

Actually, this teddy bear stuff sounds like one of his bright ideas.

Anonymous said...

I just don't believe it!

I just had a look at the Excaliber website - the teddy stunt is seriously naff but the overall quality of the other stuff

- did I use the word quality

- no self respecting pound shop would stock any of it

No, you're not.

Another great own goal from the BNP

"Actually, this teddy bear stuff sounds like one of his bright ideas."

Shit yes.

Crass? Spot on.

Disgusting and downright evil.

They'd be the first to complain if a soft toy was made of Christ.

What is it with the BNP and religion?

Anonymous said...

I see that dildo green Arrow is sticking his snout in over at stormfront.

So they take money from the morons who support them & show their political arse at the same time - sounds like the BNP to me......

Anonymous said...

"no self respecting pound shop would stock any of it"

Course it wouldn't. This crap is made solely to rip of the gullible membership of the BNP who'll pay any amount for a pile of any old shite as long as it has a union jack on it. Morons that they are.

"They'd be the first to complain if a soft toy was made of Christ."

I don't get that. I notice though that theyve started selling super-Christian Christmas cards. They can't make there minds up can they? Christian one week, Odinist the next, Pagan back in the summer...

Anonymous said...

You are right as usual its crass, nasty and obscene.

But i would ask that we get together a taskforce to liberate the Teddys that the nazis obviously are holding prisoner in a warehouse somewhere.

Come on guys its nearly Christmas, Save the Teddys i say.

Yes, the brainless neo-nazis in the BNP can't proclaim they are "fundamental Christians" when they trade odes for Odin on Stormfront.

All of that Odin crap would hardly go down well with that fake Christian minister of theirs.

I remember that cretin standing outside the Griffin trial. He was carrying a bishop's crook or soemthing weird. Even though he hasn't been ordained as part of any Christian sect, which makes him a charlatan.

Does anyone know what West's up to now? Does he post on the Odinist BNP website Stormfront, with the strange mixture of Islamophobia and Norse Gods bullshit?

What a bunch of twats, but hey, if the tabloid newspapers pick up on this, maybe this will be the end of the BNP.

The British public know two senior British muslims helped secure the teacher's release (Lord Ahmed and Baroness Warsi). Without their intervention, there would be no pardon.

Only the most hardened, embittered follower of the "master race" would fail to give credit to the lord and baroness).

Proper British nationalists would be so grateful that these two peers of the Asian community dropped everything, and flew thousands of miles to rescue a British citizen, acted for the benefit of Britain.

If you only give a shit about white people, goddamn it, they saved a white person from a harsh foreign jail. The BNP might be selling supposedly religious Christmas cards, but there's a touch of damning Ebineezer Scrooge in attacking the British Asian community over an issue they stood up to be counted over.

By taking this stance over the teddybear, the BNP lose all notion of being a party for British nationalists, and can be once and for all exposed for what they were all along, f*cking white supremacists.

How do I wish the Sun newspaper would carry a headline about the teddybears, with the headline SHAME ON YOU, RACIST BNP".

If there are any tabloid journalists watching this blog, pick up the story about the BNP exploiting the Sudan teddy story and twisting it for their own ends and means, and this will kill off the neo-party forevermore.

The Sun newspaper isn't my normal read, but if they reminded the public of the heroism of Lord Ahmed and Barones Wasi, and the dispcable actions of the BNP, this would mortally wound the BNP for which there would be no return.....

Like the National Front of the 70s and 80s, British nazism will be wrecked forevermore.

URGENT: IF ANYONE KNOWS ANY JOURNALISTS FOR TABLOID NEWSPAPERS, PERSUADE THEM TO PUT THE STAKE THROUGH THE HEART OF THE BNP, AND COVER THIS AS A HEADLINE STORY. SEND E-MAILS AND FAXES OR PHONE THE SUN DIRECT, PLUS THE EXPRESS AND MAIL.

(Yes, it is within the interests of right wing newspapers to kill of the far right if they want Cameron to win the next election. Remember how the National Front were decapitated before Thatcher got into power)

Indeed, peeps: - Contact the Sun, Mail and Express, and tell them to check out Excallibur, and run a story about how the BNP are traitors to ordinary working class people like Gillian Gibbons.

THE bnp are finished, and the BNP members are such total arselickers, they have stood by to let this happen. Just as they have allowed Griffin to pump members subs into his "holiday home" in croatia.

Holiday home my arse. He intends to live there permanently when the BNP collapses into a sticky mess at the next elections. Any groundswell of popularity towards Cameron will eat up BNP council seats as tbe centre right takes over from the far right, and with the party in tatters Griffin will set up his new life in Croatia, protected from his wealthy international war criminal contacts in Croatia, plus an additional stream of income.

Conspiracy theorists have equated Nick Griffin's rise with the War On Terror. If this is the case, and the BNP's relationship with MI5 was to "shore-up" Islamophobia" to help New Labour muster increased public support for the war in iraq by demonising muslims, now the war is over, and everyone knows there were no "mass weapons of destruction", it's easy to understand any secret payments to the BNP from the security forces are reaching an end, as is immunity from prosecution (nobbled juries, reduced criminal charges for Burnley chemical weapons, ect).

As and when Nick Griffin's BNP goes bankrupt, he will indeed supplement the shortfall of MI5 "narkbread" since the end of the War On Terror with thousands more from the BNP kitty, before pissing off to Croatia.

That's exactly what the BNP want.

Wouldn't surprise me if Nick Griffin, Collett and co. were under the pay of MI5 to exert political pressure on British Muslims and the public at large, also creating a diversion to occupy left wing campaigners from anti-war issues.

If that was indeed the case, (as seems more and more feasable) the BNP were little more than a "political plaything". Like all toys, they are "manipulated", "played with", then trashed in the dustbin with an arm and a leg missing, lol

So much for the BNP claiming to hate New Labour, if they were nothing more than an undercover governmental plaything.

What a bunch of absolute losers!

Indeed, if the tabliods were to pick up on this story, they will put a stake thgrough the heart of the BNP.

Please provide a link or some kind of evidence for this.

Why are so many people getting so worked up over a teddy bear?

Why so many anon posters? What are they afraid/ashamed of?

'Please provide a link or some kind of evidence for this.'

No. It's on the Excalibur gifts page and that's as close as you're getting.

'Why are so many people getting so worked up over a teddy bear?'

Read the article and comments and you might find out.

'Why so many anon posters? What are they afraid/ashamed of?'

Violence from the BNP and its supporters probably.

'..traitors to ordinary working class people like Gillian Gibbons'

Yeah right. I know of dozens of ordinary working class people who go around renaming teddy bears after religious prophets. Pretty much an occupational hazard, now that all those manufacturing jobs have disappeared...

I hope this all blows up in their faces.

That's only part of the picture. These far right organisations are mushrooming all over Europe. The press denounces them while at the same time feeding the public sensationalist stories like yesterday's 'hospital beds towards Mecca'.

These stories are then picked up and used by the BNP and their foreign equivalents. (We're just about due for some 'Muslims want to ban Christmas' stories)

Note also how the BNP has moved from crude xenophobia and 'send them all back' racism, to targeted Islamophobia.

My theory is that the objective is to provoke a war with ultimate US seizure of the Middle Eastern oilfields. Currently oil prices are rising and will probably continue to do so (peak oil) until they provoke a 1930's style recession. Then it's deja vu but with Europe's Muslims rather than Jews as Public Enemy Number One.

There will follow a series of Fascist-inspired pogroms and Balkan-type massacres of European Muslims which will cause the Islamic oil producers to declare an oil boycott (or face internal revolution). The worldwide trade in oil being what it is, such a boycott could not be targeted at particular nations, but would affect everybody. At this point Uncle Sam leads the US cavalry in to seize the oilfields and save Western Civilization.

Such a headline would probably win them support. No-one takes the Sun seriously, even its own readers. Might alienate a few teddy bears though.

'I see that dildo green Arrow is sticking his snout in over at stormfront.'

Green Shitehawk thinks he can put the BNP in power by blogging. The dipshite wouldn't be caught dead on the streets.

"So much for the BNP claiming to hate New Labour, if they were nothing more than an undercover governmental plaything".

Why do so many posters take a previous fanciful notion and turn it into fact (i.e. Diana was murdered, its all a Zionist-US Conspiracy, Elvis is still alive). It might be true but there is no actual evidence so lets just treat such speculations as just that. Wer'e confusing and irritating onlookers.

It seems the trolls are back on Lancaster UAF, and more devious than ever to attack anti-racist comments on this blog. Stories exposing the true nature of the BNP would reduce the amount of people voting for the bnp NOT vice further.

After the Keighley undercover report that led to the Nick Griffin trial, support for the bnp fell sharply in Keighley and Bradford leading to their loss of councillors.

You need the tabloid press to expose the bnp for the racists they are, as most ordinary voters sadly don't get the opportunity to log on the internet and read this blog.

Lancaster UAF must be kept a neo-nazi troll-free zone.

During the miners strike recently declassified documents exposed the involvement of secret service officials in agent-saboteur activity. In Italy there has been documented collusion between state police and far right groups.

There's a great difference between suspecting official state approval of the existence of far right parties based on previous afct and anti-semitic conspiracy theories based originally on the bullshit writings of genocidal Adolf Hitler.

Drawing comparisons between the two shows how the mischevious minds of the nazi trolls work.

It's rather like the way the bnp enjoy making warped comparisons between the whites-only policy of the bnp (which is undeniably racist) and the Black Police Association (which isn't a racist body, but rather an anti-racist body which was formed to combat institutionalised racism).

The BNP deny there is institutionalised racism within the police force cos they are the defenders of racism in all its forms. They openly call (without a shred of evidence) Stephen Lawrence a criminal, plus many more racist lies on Scumfront which make me want to puke.....

It's time that everybody was educated on the true nature of the bnp not just preaching to the converted.

Regarding possible 'establishment' promotion of Fascist groups such as the BNP, may I draw your attention to the concocted anti-Muslim scare story of the hospital beds pointing to Mecca five times a day, which was reported throughout the tabloid press, and has since been exposed as a total fabrication at http://www.islamophobia-watch.com/islamophobia-watch/2007/12/5/another-day-another-concocted-anti-muslim-scare-story.html

Inevitably Green Arrow and the usual suspects have picked this story up and put their totally predictable BNP spin on it.

The Fascists will almost certainly do the same with the BBC reports at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7092401.stm and http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7092707.stm

So are the 'Mainstream Media' feeding the far right?

Don't jump to conclusions, be open minded, don't get paranoid or develop conspiracy theories, just keep an eye on http://www.islamophobia-watch.com for a week or two then decide for yourself.

Bravo LUAF. The BNP has given up on the bear and removed it from all the rest of the Excalibur rubbish.
